Village People – Macho Man (1978, US DJ Copy, Santa Maria Pressing)

Village People – Macho Man (1978, US DJ Copy, Santa Maria Pressing)

A VG+ DJ copy that plays and sounds great — the vinyl is clean and strong, and the sleeve is still in its original shrink with just light edge wear keeping it from NM.

Released in 1978 on Casablanca, Macho Man was the album that launched Village People into the cultural stratosphere. The title track became an instant disco anthem and a defining moment of the era, and the album holds up as a pure, high-energy snapshot of the late-70s dance floor at its most uninhibited. This DJ copy on the Santa Maria pressing is the real deal — pressed for radio and club play, never meant for general retail, and carrying the kind of provenance that makes a used copy genuinely interesting.
