Gato Barbieri – Latino America (1997 / Impulse! / Club Edition)

A factory-sealed Mint copy of this essential Gato Barbieri compilation on the legendary Impulse! label — two discs of fiery, Latin-inflected jazz from one of the genre's most distinctive voices, pristine and unplayed.

Argentine saxophonist Gato Barbieri was a singular force in jazz — his raw, passionate tenor saxophone and deep roots in Latin American music set him apart from his contemporaries. Latino America draws from Barbieri's celebrated Impulse! recordings of the 1970s, capturing the full sweep of his Latin jazz vision across two discs. This 1997 Club Edition is an authoritative and generous survey of one of Impulse!'s most vital catalogs, and a sealed Mint copy is a compelling find for jazz and Latin music collectors.
