Elton John – Diamonds (2017 / Rocket Entertainment / 2×LP 180g Gatefold Compilation / Remastered / Sealed Mint)
A factory-sealed Mint 2017 Rocket Entertainment double LP of Diamonds — the definitive Elton John career compilation, pressed on 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, remastered, pristine and unplayed.
Released in 2017 on Elton John's own Rocket Entertainment imprint, Diamonds is a 36-track double compilation spanning the full arc of one of the most consistently productive careers in popular music — from "Your Song" and "Tiny Dancer" in 1970 and 1971 through "I'm Still Standing," "I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues," and "Nikita" in the mid-1980s, and on through the 1990s work that brought successive generations of listeners to a catalog that had never stopped being essential. "Rocket Man," "Crocodile Rock," "Bennie and the Jets," "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me," "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting," "The Bitch Is Back" — the breadth of what Diamonds covers across its two discs is the point, and the 180-gram gatefold presentation on Elton's own label gives the compilation the physical weight and format quality that a catalog of this stature warrants. For collectors who want the primary Elton John canon in a single well-pressed package — remastered, sealed, on heavyweight vinyl, in a gatefold sleeve — this is the edition to own.
