The Cult – Electric (2023 Reissue / Beggars Arkive / Blue Vinyl / Limited Edition)

A factory-sealed Mint copy of The Cult's landmark 1987 album pressed on Blue vinyl — a 2023 Beggars Arkive limited edition reissue on the original label's archive imprint, pristine and unplayed.

Released in 1987, Electric is the album that completed The Cult's transformation from post-punk and gothic rock into one of the most viscerally exciting hard rock acts of the decade. Produced by Rick Rubin — at the peak of his powers and already responsible for some of the hardest-sounding records of the era — Electric stripped away everything that wasn't essential and left "Love Removal Machine," "Lil' Devil," "Wild Flower," and "Peace Dog" as some of the most direct and electrifying rock recordings of the late 1980s. The Rubin production credit alone makes this a record serious collectors of the era take note of; the album itself more than justifies the attention. This 2023 Beggars Arkive limited edition reissue presses Electric on Blue vinyl — a collector's pressing that honors one of the great hard rock albums of its decade. Sealed Mint copies are not going to last.
