INXS – What You Need = Que Necesitas (1986 / Mercury / 12" Maxi-Single / Mexico)

A Near Mint original Mexican pressing of INXS's landmark 1986 single — a 12" maxi-single on Mercury with the bilingual title What You Need = Que Necesitas, the vinyl in excellent shape with a solid VG+ sleeve showing only light edge bumps.

"What You Need" was the breakthrough single that introduced INXS to mainstream American and international audiences ahead of Kick — a groove-driven, utterly confident track that remains one of the band's most recognizable and enduring recordings. This original 1986 Mexican pressing on Mercury is a genuinely uncommon regional variant: the bilingual title, local label configuration, and catalog number (MIX 3088) distinguish it clearly from standard international pressings, making it a meaningful find for serious INXS collectors or those seeking original regional editions. Near Mint vinyl on a Mexican 12" maxi-single from this era is not a common occurrence.
