General Public – ...All The Rage (2023 Reissue / BMG / LP)

A factory-sealed Mint copy of General Public's landmark 1984 debut — a 2023 BMG reissue, pristine and unplayed, and one of the most essential new wave albums to finally make it back to vinyl.

Formed in 1983 by Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger following the dissolution of The English Beat, General Public arrived fully formed with ...All The Rage — a debut album that distilled the ska, reggae, and pop instincts of their previous band into something cleaner, hookier, and immediately accessible without losing any of the warmth or intelligence that had made The Beat one of the UK's most beloved acts. "Tenderness" became one of the most recognizable new wave singles of the era and remains the band's signature, but the album around it more than holds its own. The recording also features contributions from Mick Jones of The Clash and Horace Panter of The Specials — a lineup that makes ...All The Rage a genuine artifact of the UK post-punk and ska scene at its creative peak. This 2023 BMG reissue makes the album available on vinyl again after a long absence. Sealed Mint copies are the way to own it.
